What does "infrastructure" actually mean?

Just an addendum to yesterday's blog post, where I said

I - have to spend some solid time developing the infrastructure of iJump

What does that mean? It means we've discovered a lot of the tools of social media in a very haphazard fashion. We know them well, but we wouldn't recommend people copy exactly what we've done. Instead, we're making it really simple and systematic.

Simple and systematic. That's catchy. Might put that on the wall as I work.

Given the merger of Cisco, VMware and EMC (with Telco who have been in virtualisation for ever)...infrastructure in the next year will mean a very different thing.

Ah, but is it simple and systematic?

Now that you've tried that. That is a startup not using the Cisco stuff, but that is where they are going

Knew exactly what you meant bro. The fish are going to be jumping in the boat next year, I know I could use the break but the time is now to be mending the nets and making sure ya vessel is seaworthy. It's a big ocean.

Thanks Matt. Sure is a big ocean. I'm so stoked about 2009!
